I’m building a local multiplayer game based on nearby connections for android (java language). With 2 phones it works quite well, but disconnects happen there also, but when i add more devices disconnects become very frequent, 1 in every minute and reconnecting takes up to 1 min also. I’m sending parcelled objects between the devices, so its basically only a string, so not video or anything heavy.
I think the main problem is that nearby wants switch between wifi and Bluetooth, but i’m not sure since there are no error logs in logcat, just the onDisconnect callback.
Is wifi direct more stable than nearby? Because switching is not that hard in this phase of development.
